Hello,
this is my first post.
Welcome to my new domain name blog. The name of the blog is “Online Domain”.
The blog website is located at OnlineDomain.com.
My name is Konstantinos Zournas and I was born and live in Athens, Greece. I studied Computer Engineering in the UK. I have been a domainer, among other things, for the past 10 years. My native language is not English so please bear with me… I will be blogging mainly about domain names but other things may come up. I hope that some people will find a thing or two of what I will be writing interesting. I plan to make regular posts but life may interrupt me sometimes.
Finally, I would like to thank all the other blog writers in the domain name industry that gave me the inspiration to start this blog. Many of those blogs appear under our links section.
Thanks for reading.

Hi Konstantinos,
What an interesting Site. Thanks, I’ll no doubt be back….. and back.:-}
Having been more a dabbler on the Internet more than anything terribly serious and for more years than I care to really acknowledge, I decided that this should be a lucrative hobby during my already old, old age.
As an old money numbers man from way back when, the hardest part I’m finding to grasp about this fascinating underworld of commerce, is how on earth domain names get valued.
Somewhere out there there must be a basic set of rules on how to cost a resale value for a domain name.
Once upon a time in far wealthier days for me, I dabbled in the horse breeding industry – the serious fun side with all the glamour attached to it. I actually made a little bit of money out of buying and selling everything from equine sperm to shares in breeding stock and in moments of complete insanity, gambling on horse races, particularly in Hong Kong.
Now, that is a completely insane industry matched only by the art world, both of which require an awful lot of money and excellent social connections in order to play.
And now, here is what looks to me to be an equally weird world all of its own, but with the special attraction that it obviously doesn’t cost much to play 🙂 . Which really suits my current lifestyle and potential.
The great difficulty that I am perceiving at the moment is the classic psychological catch: “the elephant in the room”, which nobody seems to want to look at. What on earth can make a domain name worth many thousands of dollars? Where is the R.O.I. real potential much less actual performance?
Valuing domain names takes a lot of experience and sometimes a bit of luck.
The only basic tool I can think is to look at comparable sales and go from there.
But even there you need to take into account that some are wholesale sales or some people just sell too cheap.
Actually this domaining “game” costs as much as you want to spend. It can cost too much on occasion.
I will say what I say to most people starting. Read everything you can, start slow and start with an industry or niche you know best.
Hi Konstantinos!
I live in the US and I found your website because I am searching for how to sell about $10,000 US worth of domain names. Let me explain. My boyfriend has a mental illness that causes him to do strange things and often, costly things. Some time ago when he was ill, he purchased all sorts of domain names from Go Daddy, some 400 – 500 of them, costing like I said $10,000 US. We are now losing money because he does not have the money to “renew” them. And he is sick and unable to work. I am totally clueless on how to get our money back. Go Daddy will not buy them back. What can I do? In the last 2 days, we lost $1,100 because the fee on several on them was due and I cannot afford to pay it. But I cannot just sit and watch the days go by and do nothing. Every few days, we lose another several hundred dollars. Please. What can I do? How do I begin?
Sorry to hear all this.
Send me your list of domains using the contact us page and I will let you know if any of the domains is worth anything.
Thanks
Hello Konstantinos
I have a similar situation to the lady above, and her July 30th post; although mine is not as large, nor as urgent, as hers. I do have a portfolio of domain names, mainly with .com extensions, but quite a few with others.
I have to admit, whilst I may be well qualified in other areas, I’m a relative novice iwhen it comes to domaining. I decided that investing in domain names could be a profitable business, but I would appreciate ome guidance on how I would be able to start selling some of my portfolio.
