.ARCHI Begins General Availability (GA) Today

.ARCHI, the first Internet top-level domain dedicated to bringing together the architectural community online, begins General Availability (GA) today, June 16th., and the world’s professional architects will be able to register .ARCHI domain names on a first-come first-serve basis.

.ARCHI is part of the new top level domain program being rolled out by the global regulator of web addresses to introduce greater domain name choice and availability online. These new extensions, which appear to the right of the dot in a web address, are emerging every week and will enable the Internet to be utilized in ways never before possible.

For professionals and web users, .ARCHI addresses bring more clarity and better identification of the profession and its members in a overly saturated web environment.

Developed in close partnership with the International Union of Architects (UIA) .ARCHI is intended for architects and is strictly reserved for them and their organizations worldwide (agencies, member sections, schools, media, museums, etc.).

Following its successful priority registration phases where over 750 .ARCHI domain names where secured, including some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Mr. Paul Andreu, Ms. Corinne Vezzoni, Mr. John Portman, Architecture-Studio, etc., the GA launch marks the first time where interested registrants may secure highly sought after domain names through general registration.

Available for purchase from June 16, 2014, the .ARCHI extension will allow architects to be easily identified on the Internet and to differentiate themselves by showing their membership of the profession.
