Rick Schwartz has bought about 200 domains in 2017

Rick Schwartz talked about his 2017 domain name purchases on Twitter.

Rick Schwartz said:

“So far in 2017 I invested in 49 #Domains Total of $44k. Average $895 per #domain. (Plus Hand Regs)”

I asked Rick about his hand registrations and he told me he also hand registered about 150 domain names.

So that is a total of about 200 domains in 2017 for about $45,000.

Here are a few domains that Rick has bought this year:

BoldPrint.com
Ritzville.com
Broadstaff.com
FaceMovie.com
(Average price of the 4 domains above was $600)
AssCoin.com $1,500

He also talked about bitcoin and new gtlds:

“Speaking of #bitcoin, I put much more there than #Domains in 2017. However those domains were the engine that bought #coins to begin with!”

“That said, #bitcoin 4 me is a short acquisition period (about 2b over) followed by prolonged holding. #Domains are cumulative every year.”

“.Com = World Presence. ccTLD = Country Presence. City Ext =City/State Presence. 1500 New #GTLD’s virtually no Presence. #Domains #Worthless”

“The argument new #GTLD guys use is my 20 year plan. Problem is dif 20 years. Next 20 years will be of consolidation not expansion. #Domains”

“My #Bitcoin career is over at $5000. Whatever I have, I have. My #cryptocurrency career begins. #Domains will always be my first love!”

  4. I believe there is still a gold mine to be found with good hand registered .COM domains. For example, I hand registered 360Crypto.com this year, CampCanvas.com (Camp is top keyword according to Verizon), AIAdvisory.com (Artificial Intelligence), etc.
