NamesCon 2017: RightOfTheDot & NameJet partner to auction domains (BAR .com, PLACE .com, etc.)

RightOfTheDot and NameJet have partnered to launch the live domain name auction that will be held at NamesCon 2017 on January 23rd from 3 PM – 6 PM PST in conjunction with the online auction on the NameJet website.

RightOfTheDot, LLC combined with NameJet and the NamesCon conference will produce this domain name event with more than 1,400 domain industry professionals attending.

The auctions will feature domain lots such as BAR.COM, BAR.NET, CAFES.COM, GRILL.COM, PLACE.COM, PUB.COM SHELTER.COM, and other individual premium names such as LEADS.COM, SPORTSCARS.COM, PATTY.COM, STOP.COM, WINECLUB.COM, GOLD.CLUB, SINGLE.COM, E.HOSTING, MORTGAGE.BROKER, PPL.NET, and others. There will be an estimated 400 names in the overall auction with an estimated 125 domains being offered at the live auction on January 23rd.

Many premium domains will be priced at no and low reserves to promote competitive bidding and true market prices. Additional domain names will be considered for inclusion by submitting names at http://rotd.com/auction-submission/. Please note that only ultra-premium names will be considered. Accepted names will be added continually to pre-bidding before the start of NamesCon so you will want to check the auction page often for new additions and bidding activity.

The last 2 NamesCon auctions resulted in over $3.5 million in sales and included notable names such as HOMECARE.COM – $350,000, WINE.CLUB – $140,000, CARAUCTIONS.COM – $90,000, CM.NET – $17,000, LAWN.COM – $240,000. TUSCANY.COM – $157,000, PENIS.COM – $110,000, 88.XYZ – $70,000, and WEB.HOSTING – $52,500, among many others.

“We are excited to be working once again with Monte Cahn of RightOfTheDot and NamesCon in this exclusive auction event.” said Scott Pruitt, Marketing Director, NameJet. “Considering the success we had last year, we expect this event to be even better.”

“NameJet and RightOfTheDot make the perfect combination for this premier event, and I’m thrilled to be working with them again.” said Monte Cahn, President / Director of RightOfTheDot, LLC. “Our combined experience along with record-breaking attendance projections for NamesCon, indicate that this will be the most successful NamesCon auction yet!”

A NameJet account is required to participate in the online and live auctions. Bids for domains may be placed now on the NameJet website, and domains will continue to be added through the end of the year. RightOfTheDot will conduct the live auction with World Champion Auctioneer Wayne Wheat on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM Pacific Time at the NamesCon Domain Industry Event at the New Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Following the live auction, the online auction will continue on NameJet for an additional 10 days, closing on Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Unlike most NameJet auctions that typically have a 30-day Pre-Release period followed by a 3-day “active” auction, in this case the auctions are already in active public auction status and will remain so until they close completely. Therefore, any bids placed will automatically be the next highest bid.

Just like I said in my other posting, I sent few single words in nTLDs and one character name. All of them are not made up words and none are misspelled words. According to Monte Cahn, they are not qualified ?
I also sent a none made up 2 words names in .com; also not qualified. ?

  4. I have one question: if a domain name get approved and from now to NameCon auction 2017, we have a good offer from a buyer, Can we sell the domain name or we can’t? Thank you.

  5. In another words, the .blog launch is great news for .com …
