Dynadot announced that it is running a drop catch sale for the month of July. They recently increased their registry connections and updated the technology behind our Dynadot drop catcher. I am not sure with the opened more registrars or they are using other registrars as drop catching partners.
The drop catch sale prices are:
$7.85 .COM $7.85 .NET $8.25 .ORG
In the case of a drop catch domain having more than one request, Dynadot will hold a 3-day private auction for the domain.
“Finding the perfect domain name for your company website is just as important as determining its business name. Whether you’re a first-time domain buyer or a veteran in the domain industry, there are many factors to take into account before committing to and ultimately registering a domain name. I know the domain world is one with many loop holes, which makes for easy mistakes that can cripple your business if your domain is not registered properly. To make the registration process a little less confusing, here are some helpful domain do’s and don’ts to consider the next time you register your domain:”
Dynadot, that is one of my top 2 favorite registrars, has announced that it has updated it’s community forums. Dynadot that celebrated it’s 10th anniversary has competitive domain name pricing, a new control panel and solid support. Pricing for .com starts at $9.99 and goes down to $8.50 for super bulk pricing:
Spending Requirement: $500.00 per year.

Extension .xxx is approaching its first anniversary on December 6th and it is time to renew your .xxx domain names. Many people like me used backordering and pre-registrations last year. Some may choose to transfer the domains in order to consolidate them from various registrars to their favorite one. But I think the list below is worth a look so you can see market prices for .xxx renewals and transfers. You might choose to change registrars after all.
Please keep in mind that the registry price for .xxx domain names is not even close to .com or any other major gTLD. It is a staggering $62 and retail prices are of course more than that. So choose wisely what domains you renew and what you drop.
The cheapest price came from what was a surprise to me: GoDaddy at $68.17 (using a coupon). Then there is DomainMonster that has a $69.99 price for .xxx transfers. Name.com (for transfers) and 101domain.com have their pricing set at $75 for .xxx domains.
There are a couple of European Registrars like dinahosting and gandi.net offering .xxx domains for €52 ($67.57) and €55 ($71.47) respectively but depending on where you live you may have to pay VAT tax and also you may have to make substantial purchases to get this rate.
Do you want cheap .xxx prices? Please find below the complete list of prices for .xxx domain names renewals or transfers from most of the .xxx accredited registrars.
Today, I logged into my account at Dynadot only to find a new control panel awaiting. That was a nice surprise to mark the 10th anniversary of one of my favorite registrars.
The new control panel has a better and more appealing user interface and functionality. The top menus have been revamped completely and now take a lot less space of the screen and give more space to the domain list below. The old 2 top menus have been replaced by a drop down menu. Managing your domains is done using elegant graphic icons (with drop down menus as well) that have replaced the old ugly buttons.
Besides the usual domain list, you can find a summary of your account details on the right hand side along with the options to purchase or transfer domains.
Dynadot reveales new Control Panel
The old control panel is still available if you prefer it, using a link at the top of the page that says: “Old Control Panel”.
The transition to the new control panel is not complete as the shopping cart and the checkout process are still handled by the old interface and still have a couple of steps too many. In this review, I believe this is my only complaint with Dynadot.
Dynadot is now live as an Afternic DLS Premium partner.
Here is the email that I received from Afternic:
DynaDot is now live as an Afternic DLS Premium partner! Because you have domains listed for sale on Afternic that are registered with Dynadot we have some good news for you: You can dramatically increase sales of your domains on Afternic by upgrading your domains to the DLS Premium network.
Enjoy these benefits by listing your DynaDot registered domains via the DLS Premium network:
Unmatched Reach: Promote your names to 75 million+ prospective buyers monthly
Increased Sales Velocity: Sell more domains faster, at the industry’s highest prices
Unique “Instant Transfer” Capability: Provides buyers with immediate access to the domain, eliminates the escrow process, and delivers funds to you quicker
These are good news for anyone that has domain name registered with Dynadot and also have the domain names listed at Afternic with Buy It Now prices. Most of my domains are not priced so I don’t think I will be joining in. Especially since I don’t have much luck selling domains at Afternic.
