  1. Thanks Konstantin. This was a 6 month mega-project which makes it very easy to manage domains across the lifecycle: acquire, park, develop, sell/lease. It also lays the foundation for a mobile version and a reseller platform coming later this year for the many folks who have asked if they can re-sell Epik.

  2. I hate Jessica from Epik, constant spammer who tries to steal 4-5 figure domains for $50

    • @ Tom

For calibration, Jessica (who is a real person) sends emails to ~100 folks daily who have aged domains that they have allowed to expire where she thinks they are worth keeping. I know for a fact that she has saved some folks from accidentally losing domains.

As for the purchase prices, yes, they are low. Some registrants appreciate the fast cash for an auth code for an expired domain. In some cases, we end up brokering the domain at a much higher price with proceeds going to the registrant.

On the other hand, if you are someone with good names that habitually (ab)uses registrar grace periods rather than (auto)-renewing on time, then you may have gotten some useless emails. You should just opt out and you will not get another email from Jessica.

      Hope that helps!

  3. I will never do business with epik .

Want to buy some epik bucks? Yikes!

    • This is Masterbucks. They are fully redeemable to cash. In contrast, EpikBucks was rather different, used for a narrow purposes of allow participants in SwapFest (2010 – my how time flies) to exchange domains. And for anyone who still has EpikBucks, we do accept them.

      • So all proceeds can be converted to cash with a 5 percent commission fee essentially?

      • Daniel – yes, exactly — 5% is the maximum commission from leasing or sales on Epik marketplace — far cheaper than any other marketplace by a country mile. And if proceeds are used on Epik, there is zero commission, i.e. we absorb the 2-4% payment processing fees as a thank you for using funds within Epik. The people who rely on it are pretty thankful for it.

  4. From my own experience, I’d recommend Epik, I’ve been using it to sell and lease domains efficiently. Rob is helpful and professional.

  5. RETRACTION: i had posted some negative comments about rob monster awhile back. they no longer apply. he took the time and trouble to make things right.

    • I’m happy to hear a retraction to some comments a while back that seemed out of proportion to the perceived offenses.
