Dynadot Starts Offering Real Domain Name Whois Privacy

gtldsDynadot is one of my favorite registrars and the only problem I was having is that it didn’t offer real domain name whois privacy. They would hide the email address, phone number and address but they would leave the name of the registrant showing.

Dynadot had a lot of requests over the years asking for whois privacy to also hide the registrant name.

Now this is solved as Dynadot will soon start offering a new domain name whois privacy service that will give you the option to also keep your name private.

You asked and we listened – Dynadot will soon be offering a new domain privacy service that allows you to keep your name private. We’ve had many requests for this over the years and we’re excited to finally be rolling it out this month! With our new privacy service, you can choose to hide your name in addition to your personal email address, phone number, and address. We will still filter any correspondence for you, so you won’t have to deal with spam.

I know that this missing feature has been a deal breaker for a lot of people over the years but not for me. I only use whois privacy on a handful of domain names so it was never a problem for me using Dynadot.

The only downside with this change is that Dynadot will also be increasing the price of the domain whois privacy from $2 per year to $3 per year starting 1/1/15 00:00 PST.

Along with this change to our domain privacy service, we will also be increasing the price from $2 per year to $3 per year starting 1/1/15 00:00 PST. If you want to take advantage of our current $2 pricing, you can renew your domain and your domain privacy before the end of the year.
