New gTLD 1st Day Registrations: .Bayern 19170, .OVH 12519 (free), .Deals 2592

newgtldI wrote this and then totally forget to post it. Here are the domain name registration results from last week’s 3 New gTLD launches:

.BAYERN launched on the 30th of September and got 19,170 domains in its first day of general availability. As expected most domains were registered in German registrars. It had 21,280 domains on day 1.

1 Donuts New gTLD went out of the EAP pricing and into the real (reg fee) general availability on Wednesday: .Deals.

.Deals had 2,592 domains after day 1. It has 3,131 domains today.

.OVH also launched on the 2nd of October and it got 12,519 domains. This is a .brand New gTLD that is open to the general public and is offering 50,000 free domains for the first year. So today it is the 8th most popular New gTLD with 43,834 registrations.

The “New gTLD 1st Day Registrations” include sunrise domain names as well as any domains registered by the registry or any founder’s program. Any registry is allowed to register up to 100 domains for it’s own use and give out another 100 as part of the New gTLD founder’s program.

(I am always comparing the same first hours from their 1st day for all New gTLDs. The hours between General Availability and the first zone files update.)
