*Update: Escrow.com has since withdrawn their name from voting. Company President Brandon Abbey said, “As a previous winner, Escrow.com is very honored to have been nominated in multiple categories for the 2014 T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Awards. When Rick and Howard asked us to counts the vote it was never our intention to be eligible for an award.  However, as the keeper of the ballots we need to be completely transparent and impartial.  It would be inappropriate for us to be eligible to win this award.  Thanks to all for your continued trust and support.”

  1. Best marketing .xyz. Congratulations.

  2. Interesting. I think traffic needs to outlaw people asking for nominations on their blogs (and I’m guessing they are perhaps lobbying through other mediums also) at least one and possibly two cases of it on that list.

  3. The nominations weren’t open long enough to garner much I am thinking…If Escrow is counting the votes they should excuse themselves from the entire process..I know several people who didnt receive a ballot and they are very well known in the industry. the Domainers Choice Awards had it right the way they did it. The results turned out the same with the same people being nominated but it was wide open to anyone and handled really well

      • Great post about the awards… I agree! One show a year is plenty.. DCA did a great job…not to say someone wont come along and do something else entirely phenomenal in our industry but there are plenty of people not even mentioned who do great things.. On a side note I dont agree with the developers who were nominated either..Alan Dunn works for someone else and hasnt done development in a LOOOONG time…(great guy though)
