New gTLD Domain Sales: 1 sold for $12,500+, 2 for $3,000+ and 20 for $1,200+ (poker.international, great.coffee)

This past week the following 5 Donuts New gTLDs entered general availability with EAP: .international, .coffee, .house, .solar and .florist.

The total Donuts EAP purchases from the first 3 EAP days is at about $42,500 or more depending on the premium domain names.

Some of the sales are difficult to find as a few domains don’t have nameserves and don’t appear in the zone files. Only sales over $1,000 are reported.

There was 1 domain name sold on the 1st day of the EAP for about $12,500 or more depending on the registration/renewal price (premium level or no premium). This is the domain name:

deinternational.coffee (D.E Master Blenders 1753)

D.E Master Blenders 1753 is an international coffee and tea company, headquartered in the Netherlands. With sales of €2.7bn, their coffee and tea products are available in more than 45 countries and 70% of our revenue comes from markets where they have a No.1 or No.2 position. The domain name was registered at the registrar ‘Corporation Service Company’.

The domain name international.coffee was registered at reg fee (whatever that was) after the EAP without a pre-registration.

There were 2 domain names sold on the 2nd day of the EAP for about $3,000 each or more depending on the registration/renewal prices (premium level or no premium):

poker.international
bluecard.international
(Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association)

Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association also bought the domains blue.international, bluecross.international and blueshield.international in sunrise.

There were also 20 domain names bought at about $1200 each in the third day of EAP.

Mike Berkens and Worldwide Media Inc bought the domain name great.coffee.

Compusolve.co.uk bought 8 domain names including sport.international and
fly.international.

Axium Electric Inc. from Texas bought the domain name axium.solar.

Philokraft Technologies Corporation from New York bought roast.coffee.

BCK Real Estate from Vermont bought the domain name Vermont.house.

I also checked all the corresponding domain names in .com and found 2 domains that were sitting unregistered today:

deinternationalcoffee.com
bluecardinternational.com

A lot of the registered .com domains are owned by domainers such as Buy Domains, DOTCOMAGENCY.COM and Worldwide Media Inc.

Some of the purchases above might be higher that reported if the domain name is labeled as premium. Premium registration/renewals start at $50 and go all the up to $1500 per year. Prices are approximate and depend on what each registrar charges on top of the registry fee.

You can register a domain name using the Donuts EAP that is available in registrars that sell Donuts gTLDs. EAP prices start at about $12,500 and are lowered within the course of the week until they reach the regular registration cost after the 7 day period. The EAP wholesale registrar prices are:
$10,000 (day1)
$2,500 (day2)
$950 (day3)
$500 (day4)
$100 (days 5-7)

Go Daddy’s early access prices are at about $12,539.99 for day one, $3,164.99 for day two, $1,239.99 for day three, $689.99 for day four and $189.99 for days five to seven. After day seven the regular registration cost applies.

  1. $12,500 for deinternational.cofee? Wow! And if you’re going to spend $1,200 for any premium .coffee, great.coffee is an interesting choice.
