Casio files UDRP complaint for 100 .org domains that is clearly a waste of money(.com are free)

Casio Computer CO., Ltd. filed a UDRP complaint at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The complaint was filed for 100 .org domain names. This is clearly a waste of time and money for everybody involved (well not everybody…) as the 100 domains) are worthless and only someone crazy could have registered them in the first place. The 100 .org domains make no sense and also all 100 corresponding .com domains are free.

The 100 domains all start with “casiojpdon” such as:
casiojpdoncream.org
casiojpdonice.org
casiojpdonideal.org
casiojpdonidea.org
casiojpdonidentical.org
casiojpdonidentify.org
casiojpdonidiom.org
casiojpdonidle.org
casiojpdonignorant.org

All 100 domain names are registered with PublicDomainRegistry.com. The 100 domains  are registered to “Warner Brothers Studio Store” which is clearly a fake name but using a “163.com” email address that is used mainly in China.

Guccio Gucci S.p.A. also won a UDRP complaint for 197 worthless domain names.

The UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) complaint with case number D2014-0166 (Casio) is now active at WIPO. Usually a decision is published within one to two months after a case is commenced.

  1. these UDRP cases are being brought just to keep the PANELISTS busy and to give DOMAINERS a bad name, a bit like 9/11 terror attack to justify war in Iraq
