I was renewing a few domains at Go Daddy and as the last code I had that gave me 32% off any order had expired I searched the internet to find a similar coupon code.
I found one code here for “32% Off All Orders”. As the code was not visible I clicked on the link so the code would be applied to my account and cart at Go Daddy. I noticed a price drop in my cart but also noticed something else. The currency had been changed from USD to GBP (British Pounds). That effectively had the appearance that I was getting a discount but I was actually paying full price. Here is what the cart looks like before and after clicking the coupon link:
The dollar to GBP currency conversion has a 37% difference so it is pretty close to the 32% promised by the coupon code so anyone can be fooled to think that they are getting a discount. Godaddy doesn’t pay it’s affiliates a commission when clients use a coupon code. Using a coupon code nullifies any commission an affiliate could earn. So Go Daddy affiliates are inclined to trick the customer into paying full price for domains names or other services. Beware of this scam because once you pay full price there is no way to get your money back.

I’m with CJ.com and they give also coupon codes for Godaddy (supplied through the CJ account manager). I can assure you I get commissions when someone use these coupon codes through my affiliate link.

This is the fine print from a direct Go Daddy affiliate:
Go Daddy does not make Commission Payments on purchases made by Visitors with the following coupon codes: a coupon code not supplied to you through your Go Daddy Affiliate Manager, a coupon code from an internal Go Daddy code or private discount code, a coupon code supplied in Go Daddy customer emails, a coupon code supplied through other programs such as “Commission Junction”, or any coupon that states on its landing page that it is “not compatible with the Direct Affiliate Program.”
This is the fine print from a “Commission Junction” Go Daddy affiliate:
Go Daddy does not pay commissions on purchases made by customer with the following coupon codes: a coupon code not supplied through the CJ Account Manager, a coupon code from an internal Go Daddy or private discount code, a coupon code supplied in Go Daddy customer emails, and any coupon that states on its landing page that it is “not compatible with the affiliate program”.
So you being a CJ affiliate you only get commissions on the “cjc_” coupons. On all other Go Daddy coupon codes floating around the internet you get 0.
You are mistaken, dear friend. Please read the fine print. The discount was not applied at all based on the coupon code but based on some godaddy algorithm (qualified for multiple money saving offers). The currency conversion took place due to some unnecessary smartness of the system, but it is not a scam. Please do note that any discount at godaddy is effective on the list price and not what is already shown in red in the shopping cart.
BTW, retailmenot is a trusted source for promo/discount coupons.

There was no multiple saving offers. Maybe it is Go Daddy’s fault but it is still misleading.
Its very misleading but explains why my affiliate earnings are around 2% with godaddy (godomaincoupons.com). I might email them and get some clarification

Godaddy Direct Affiliate Program is a scam. Let me make that that clear it’s a scam.
I been with them for 2 and half years and they have never paid a penny for referring customers, even when they say they are paying. With the discounts, i have had that problem over 100s of times, they try to make you excited when you see the british pounds for some reason. I’d recommend any provider than “Go Daddy”.
I use coupons on 99% of my GoDaddy purchases and renewals and this is the first time I got one that switched my currency to pounds. Now every flippin’ time I go to GoDaddy’s site I have to clear cookies or the currency shows as pounds. Usually before I can complete the transaction the currency switches again. I even cleared cookies/cache completely and it still happens. Running virus scan now.

I’m a direct affiliate with GoDaddy. They doesn’t pay for any purchase that has been made through a coupon code even the buyer comes through your link. I recently lost one sale where i gave my link to my friend to buy GoDaddy hosting and during check out he used a coupon code that leads to nullify my commission
My friend also affiliate with GoDaddy. But he tell me that GoDaddy doesn’t pay when there one buyer comes from his link.
